WGME News 8

At any given time, someone somewhere in the world is logging onto the internet to check out a website that's right here in our backyard. So far, more than 60,000 people have come to this night where they pay for a chance to admire their choice of main-made beauties. Warning viewer discretion is advised.

Stilettos and skateboard, an unlikely pair. If anyone can make it come together, it's Nate LaChance, the man behind the lens. He's a stickler for detail, like making sure this latex dress has a special glow. "My goal is to get this really shiny there's a lot of people that don't really understand what it is that we do."

That's Nate's wife Carrie in the blue. They are the brains in the beauty behind ArchEnemys.com, an online empire with provocative pinups, erotic fashions, and adult-oriented videos. All of it made in Maine. "It's always sexy, it's always classy, and it's always edgy. The best part of what makes us unique is that we don't actually cross the line."

It all started a few years ago when Nate started a website selling stilettos as a way to make some extra money. "That was the goal, but it kinda turned into something much bigger." Now, every month hundreds of subscribers around the world pay for the privilege of downloading their choice of Maine Made Beauties.

"I love knowing that I have fans from Africa or China or wherever in the world." Carrie is ArchEnemys top model. "I always told myself in the beginning that I would never do anything that I would be afraid to show my parents."

More than a pretty face and a hot body, Carrie is Nate's partner in business. "A lot of people don't understand, and a lot of people are afraid of things they don't understand." No stranger to criticism; she's heard at all before. Carrie said they shouldn't be too quick to judge. "It's Maine; they haven't seen anything like this before. It's okay to be sexy, and a lot of people are afraid of that."

They're here to stay, Nate and Carrie LaChance proving to the world that sexy can sell in Vacationland. "This is what we do. We're not trying to hide it. We want everyone to see it."

Nate and Carrie say they have invested over half a million dollars into their business so far. And they now have deals in the works to produce a magazine as well as a TV segment on a popular cable channel. And they're also shopping around for a reality show to be shot right here in Maine about their lives and their business. And they say they're just getting started.
